I keep hearing sports metaphors being used for these debates.

No one is 'putting' anyone away.

The debates are not to knock someone out.

They are to let the American People see each candidate unfilterd.

Romney has done what he needed to do, he has shown the American People he is able to be President and Obama has failed.

Stop looking for 'knockout's and 'homeruns', they aren't coming.

Yup. Obama’s entire campaign has been centered upon disqualifying Romney as a credible alternative. The debates have upended this strategy.

Then you weren’t watching the 1st debate. If that wasn’t a homerun I don’t know what was. Even Democrats were saying another loss tonight would have finished Obama off. If you don’t like sports metaphors fine, but the result is the same.

The Luntz focus group in a state that can have an impact is what matters.
