Der Prinz and I have been married for 23 years, and we're going through a really rough time right now. Our lifestyle doesn't lend itself to his being out with young ladies, or to long separations ... and we also have a slew of kids, including an infant under one year, so we have a nice old-lady counselor and a commitment to our family, No Matter What.
I feel sad for the D'Souzas. Marriage is hard - and it's incredibly hard if you're not together most of the time, with the support of a community and the needs of your children at the top of the priority list.
How disappointing. I thought better of him.

My 27th anniversary was Oct 12. 27 years, no kids. We are now, as I’m typing, sitting on the awesome outside porch at Parrain’s in Baton Rouge with our neice. Beer, wine and oysters for lunch. Now we are staying (I’m using their internet) and having a seafood sampler.
Life is good.

What does D’Souza’s personal life have to do with the movie 2016?
I have been married 43 years and as with any couple married that long, there have been ups and downs. But those downs have never been influenced by the presence of another person who had any bearing on our martial circumstances.
That is why I have a problem with this situation and millions of others like it. If a marriage has irreconcilable differeces, they should stand on their own without the influence of a potential interference of a new “romantic adventure” that may never fully materialize, but only repeat itself.
World magazine should likewise face questions about why they pay women to come forward to make these claims.
If only everyone had a good solid marriage like Bill and Hillary.

Finally, near 11 p.m., event organizer Tony Beam escorted D’Souza and Joseph to the nearby Comfort Suites. Beam noted that they checked in together and were apparently sharing a room for the night in the sold-out hotel. The next morning, around 6 a.m., Beam arrived back at the hotel and called up to D’Souza’s room. “We’ll be down in 10 minutes,” D’Souza told Beam. D’Souza and Joseph came down together, and Beam took them to the airport.
The next day another conference organizer, Alex McFarland, distressed by D’Souza’s behavior, confronted him in a telephone conversation. D’Souza admitted he shared a room with his fiancée but said “nothing happened.” When I called D’Souza, he confirmed that he was indeed engaged to Joseph, but did not explain how he could be engaged to one woman while still married to another. When asked when he had filed for divorce from his wife, Dixie, D’Souza answered, “Recently.”
According to San Diego County (Calif.) Superior Court records, D’Souza filed for divorce only on Oct. 4, the day I spoke with him. Under California law, that starts the clock on a six-month waiting period for divorce. D’Souza on Oct. 4 told me his marriage was “over,” said he “is sure Denise is the one for me,” and said he had “done nothing wrong.”
While none of this changes the content of the movie 2016, it certainly speaks of a change in the content of Mr. D’Souza.
I firmly believe that staying married is a heck of a lot harder than splitting up.
I married that first time because I wanted to make a family. Unfortunately, he married for sex, good cooking, and clean laundry.
My advice for all those young things out there, find man who’s father cheated on his mother when he was a young teen. That really has an impact on them.
Hubby #2 is in it for the long haul. 20 years in January and while we’ve had our disagreements, we are more committed and love each other more as each year go by. Yeah, it sounds too sweet, but it’s true. But it takes a lot of work and a lot of commitment!!
