That was exactly my point in my "complaints" on this thread before last night's debate. FR - for the past few years now - is totally unreliable when trying to participate in a live thread.
The wonderful, free-wheeling fun live thread days on FR are apparently over. It's a shame - it used to be very informative and lots of fun.
Many FReepers have been telling me that participating in the live threads was the sole reason they even signed up on FR in the first place. Oh well.
Any word on when those "new servers" I've been hearing about - for many years now - will arrive?

I highly recommend the movie Brazil for those who haven't seen it. It's a light hearted eccentric little ditty about wearing your chains lightly as the state executes you. No, really it's a comedy noir with Jonathan Pryce and Robert De Nero. Amazing. (takeaway: fix your own damned air conditioning.)
