I have no idea what caused the down time or difficulties in posting.
It was miserable.
Crowley did her job for the Marxist. Romney was ready to move in for the kill, but Crowley threw him for a loop with her incorrect refereeing. Too late now that she corrected herself. The damage is done for tonight's audience.
Romney can score more points NEXT MONDAY when the debate is foreign policy, unless the Marxist makes a big speech in the interim, but even with that, he's still a liar on record and Romney must nail him that.
Four Americans are still dead and the Marxist repeatedly lied by blaming the obscure video, even during his speech to the General Assembly at the UN on September 25, 2012.

So many things Romney could say...
“Of course I’m not like President Bush. He increased the Federal Gov’t. as a portion of our economy by (insert %). This put great strain on our economy. At the same time, President Bush failed to correct foolish housing policies and outdated regulations. These things were contributing factors leading to the economic collapse in 2008. I will not continue to grow the Federal Government beyond it’s means, burdening our economy and effectively enslaving our children.”

Or, maybe it is too esoteric, but when Obama starts waxing about, say assistance for education, Romney could say something like: “Why has a college education become so expensive that most people feel they need government assistance? As a businessman, I know something about what causes overpriced services. In this case, it is largely due to the Government. If we follow the President’s course, as with revenue and taxes, we’ll never get there. We’ll never get to a point where middle class citizens can again afford college for their children, on their own. Instead, we will spend ever more money, weakening our economy, and creating dependency. If we don’t fix this, and many other similar problems, we will end up like Greece — with one exception: There is no one who can bail us out.”
Would have been a good one. Turnabouts fair play. Bet it didn't even occur to Crowley. Questions were stacked against Romney big time. I could think of ten questions I would have asked Obama. Bet Romney hated this format. He still did great though considering. . .;

That is very true, but there’s the other side of the coin to look at - if our candidate can meet them on their own terms, on their own turf, and still beat them with one hand tied behind his back, it proves his superiority all the more. I mean, imagine the _resident holding his own at a town hall in the back woods of Alabama, moderated by Rush Limbaugh? (who, by the way, would have had the integrity not to lie to help Romney - of course, Romney wouldn’t have needed him to either!)
Oh-oh-oh! Yes. ROMNEY should have ended his answer with (to the moderator) “Since you have asked me how I would differentiate myself from a former Republican President, I’d like to know how Pres. Obama would differentiate himself from President Carter?”

i followed HuffPo some tonight to see hot the libs were cracking
that site...considerably more hits than here ran fine
as I recall FR used to have more traffic on a regular work day than I saw tonight over this debate
back in my early days here from Gore thru 2004...most decent threads would get over 500 replies and plenty in the 1000s and even some in the 10s of 1000s
and i would look at replies page and it would have replies counted by seconds or 2-3 seconds and so forth
just a steady hum all day...peaking with morning coffee and then after lunch and then when folks got home after dinner
and Friday and Saturday nites
slow during church Sunday or Monday Night Football
I’m showing 50 replies last 14 minutes...3 replies a minute more or less...
Could stick a load balancer in front that gives priority bandwidth to registered users.
