I have thought these various photo-ops are stupid for a LONG time. Unless it is for the charity I suppose. It would be nice if the story went something like: “Paul Ryan has been a strong supporter of the St. Vincent de Paul Society ever since his college years. The volunteers at the kitchen were surprised by the vice-presidential nominee and had their photos taken with him as he thanked them for their time and service in feeding the homeless.”
