I find myself wondering what kind of a president Barack Obama might have been if he had waited to run for office and not decided to run for the White House almost immediately after winning his U.S. Senate seat in 2004. If he had waited, say eight years, would Obama have a better understanding of how things get done in Washington? Or would he be oversmitten with his ability to win over others and win in the arena?

Obama wouls still be a gay, self loving wannabe leftist dictator. He apparently hasn’t changed since about age 20.

Would he be a better person if both of his parents hadn’t hated America, the West, and ultimately been too self-absorbed to raise him?
What is this moron smoking!?!
If anything, Bath-House Barry would have had a BETTER idea of how to use Washington against America!
Yeah I’m sure he would have been a republican.
Saunders lives and works in the SF Bay area...she wouldn’t recognize a communist if they came up to her and said hi I am a commie. She somehow thinks that O would have moderated if he had lost an election....what a dolt
Didn't Hitler lose an election?
Note: Every time I see a vehicle with an Illinois tag on the road, I think of what they foisted on America - and I'm not happy!
He lost a race for Congress, it didn’t help.
To the headline: a better what? communist, liar, psychopath, homosexual, muslim - what?
Correct. But, if he had waited, he’d have been a more experienced assh*le.
Unlike fine wine, socialism does NOT improve with age.
No. But the country would be better off
He couldn’t wait. There were many people who prepared the path for him, and the plan was, push him NOW.
He probably got flagged when he was 18.
Look at all the Chinese/Asian influence pushing Bill Clinton (Charlie Trie, Elaine Kanchanalak, and so forth) who opened doors, made funding available, paid media people. We eventually saw the skeleton of that structure.
It’s not too clear yet who planned things for Barry Soetero.
Yeah, that damned Durbin, not to mention Jackson, Jr., Luis Gonzalez, Richard Daley, Rahm E, Valerie J, David Axelprick, and Saul Alinsky -- those are some real scum.
Obama did lose an election. In 2000, he lost a Democratic primary race for Illinois’s 1st congressional district in the United States House of Representatives to four-term incumbent Bobby Rush by a margin of two to one.
“If he had waited, say eight years, would Obama have a better understanding of how things get done in Washington?”
Obama has never given a rats ass how things “normally” get done in Washington. If he did, nothing in his whack left agenda would have passed.
No, we’d have had more of a voting record with which to dispel the MSM creation of a unifying candidate.
The answer to this idiot’s question can be found in, “Dreams from my father” and “The Audacity of Hope”. Obozo is obozo is obozo . . . etc.
Romney's loss to Ted Kennedy was probably a good thing as Romney himself noted in the 2012 GOP debates.
