Maybe — but I agree Rudy should have been given a shot at the top job. He’s not perfect in the eyes of some but he’s a damsite better than McCain and has the balls to tell it like it is most of the time.
That issue almost destroyed FR. Many of the most prolific and informative posters were purged for supporting Rudy.
Rudy was the best law and order mayor NYC ever had. He was a bit of a social liberal and that turned people off. I also liked a true liberal, Ed Koch. He at least shot from the hip and you always knew where he stood.
