In a way, Archie Bunker does not really represent the current Conservative stereotypes being pushed by the media: he wasn’t a ‘wealthy corporate fat cat 1%-er’ nor was he a ‘Redneck Fundie’. He was a blue collar union worker - a demographic that today is more often associated with Liberals.
If there was a real Archie Bunker, he probably would have voted Democrat. The modern democrat party has been taken over by meat heads.
