Who are you kidding??? It's an agency of the United States Government and the farthest thing from private enterprise. It's a government monopoly.
It’s a government business, and a monopoly, but the USPS doesn’t take taxpayer dollars. Sales of services. That is it. But the Gov mandates the USPS prefund the FERS for 75 years out in the future. Times are tough and they have missed two $5 billion payments into the pre-funding. The Senate did pass a bill to give back 11 billion or so, but it hasn’t been signed into law. USPS hasn’t been taking tax dollars.
But they were taking taxpayer dollars back when they were funding Armstrong to the tune of $32 million over four years in 2002 — which raised a lot of heads in Congress.
I got your point. Hope you got mine.
