I mourn his loss to his family, friends and loved ones, and I pray for his immortal soul...but will not for a minute miss him as a politcal operator.
Ourside of his helping with Clarence Thomas, IMHO, he was a disaster for the most part and our nation is better off with him wholly out of politics.

I sincerely hope he saw the light of truth in his finals days and did whatever he could to earn forgiveness. Forgiveness cannot be earned. It is a free gift, which was bought and paid for by the propitiatory and sacrificial death of the Son of God, Who satisfied the righteous requirement of Divine Justice against offenders.
"God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.".
"He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed."
"He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world."
Cordially,

Wow. I didnt know about this story. (Ira Einhorn: The Unicorn Killer) With the perspective of time it is interesting to see how the true nature of a man shapes his life no matter how he may try to cloak it.
When I look at Specter's life I see a remarkable consistency in the way he dealt with challenge, adversity and tests of his character. He seemed to instictively sacrifice principle and truth for temporary advantage.
In plain English, he was slimey.

“It is very inappropriate to wish him in hell simply because we didnt like the way he often voted.”
I wouldn’t try to trivialize his liberalism as mere “voting”. I won’t be dismissive of the damage he has done to We the People and this nation.

Without the magic bullet the Warren commission would have been forced to conclude a conspiracy, and inevitably traced it to Cuba...Agree that they would have been forced to conclude a conspiracy. But it didn't necessarily have to be traced to Cuba. There were other possibilities as well, such as (1) organized crime, (2) LBJ, (3) CIA, etc., etc.

Arlen Specter (left) was the "author" of the "magic bullet"Proof that even a broken clock is right twice a day. A Commie acted alone and killed Kennedy, deal with it.

Arlen did a masterful job of cross examining Anita Hill.
His only claim to fame. Other than that ?
