I believe that the plan in Benghazi was to allow a problem to arise and perhaps even allow people to be captured, setting the stage for Obama, the Great, to come in and agree to the Peace suggested by al Zawahiri.

I think that it was intended to be an October surprise. That's the reason that the Obama administration sat on their hands for 24 hours. That's the reason for blaming the movie, too. The idea was to use the film and the anti-Islam prejudice among the rightwing in the US, as an excuse for making concessions to the Islamists, setting the stage for a big Obama win in November.
