Granted he has the elected clearance.

Suppose you were Oppenheimer, except you were working for Adolph, would you tell all?

I hope and pray our security system has cut him off, a long time ago!

Supposedly that's what Heisenberg did! (Though there are several schools of thought on Heisenberg's actions!)

Important to remember Hitler and Zero were both “constitutionally” elected. Duty and loyalty to the “legal process” requires you to do your “job”. (The moral dilemma many German officers found themselves in!)

Usually the “policy makers” aren't interested in the “details” of a Intel or security matter. That can be “protected” at least to some degree. However the "conclusion" created by the "details" can often reflect back on the source of the "details", that's a danger we are currently in. Remember if directly asked about the "details" they have to be given up. That's the law!

Electing “the lawless” is national suicide, the Germans discovered that to their national disgrace and dishonor, hopefully we can recover before we lose ours.
