I remember when Freeman starred as a US President in some movie or another. In retrospect, the powers that were prepping to launch Obama on us, probably had a hand in securing that role.

All of Hollywood was working to make somebody who'd just gotten elected to the Illinois State Senate President?
Maybe it really started in 1977 when Richard Pryor played a Black President or in 1972 with James Earl Jones?
