White House records reveal that the moderator of last night's vice presidential debate, Martha Raddatz, visited Vice President Joe Biden at his official residence on March 26, 2012. Raddatz is an employee of ABC News.
As the records show, that day Raddatz visited the VPR (or, the vice president's residence) for a "Women's History Month Reception." That record was released on June 29, 2012.......
Now, after the debate, Raddatz has been criticized for "interrupting [Paul Ryan] 31 times" and even CNN called the moderator "the third debater."

The Obama-MSM cabal. It stinks of corruption.
It's her job.
Raddatz was shilling for the Lying Biden from the start. I was yelling at the TV screen -— my wife had to calm me down.
What a disgusting display of DemoRAT lying and politics.
Biden just reaffirms that the radical left are pigs, rude, and liars. I stopped watching after the tenth Biden lie.
Pathetic. Rush should have some good commentary on this sham today.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Biden didn’t have a copy of the questions ahead of time. Maybe the reason he came out with that crap-eating grin on his face.
So true - however, why in God's name do the Republican's, every cycle, allow these moderators to moderate? Seems to me that, with the advent of the new media, they should have the balls to insist on a different model or at least, different moderators other than those who have been carrying the RAT water all these years.
Was she there as a reporter or private citizen? Her usual beat is defense and security.
From the very first quesstion, which went to Biden, and he did not answer, Raddatz showed her “role” was not as an unbiased moderator.
It drove me nuts that when Ryan would answer a question, she’d interrupt him to try to change the question, or cut him off..
I couldn’t for the life of me understand most of the low mumbling Biden was doing..What was he mumbling?
Ryan showed grace under fire from those two louts.
I worked in a mental hospital for years, and Raddatz and Biden behaved worse than most of my patients ever did.Their behavior was a disgrace and an insult to viewers/voters.
We pro-Americans shouldn’t complain too much. This is the sort of treatment Vice President Ryan will get the next four years, and he better get used to it. As it is, I still think he won by being the one grownup on stage, and set the stage for Romney to clobber B. Hussein (mmm mmm mmm) next Tuesday to help complete the 45 State sweep.
Only the geniuses that run the GOPe understand why it’s good strategy to give all the advantages to the democrats.
Let me do a little math.
Biden Interruptions = 81.
Radditz Interuptions = 31.
Total Interruptions of Ryan = 112.
Total minutes = 90.
Total seconds = 5400.
Half that time was “Ryan Time” or 2700 seconds.
Average time between “Ryan Time” Interruptions = 24 seconds
I'm sure there are events like this all time.
We all do networking events in our professional lives. For a reporter to get invited to an event where the VP is present; would be a no brainer for her not to go.
Doesn't matter if it's a charity event for abandoned chipmunks. If the right people are there; you go.
And keep in mind the VP’s residence is I assume the official residence of the VP. Like the White House.
I'm too lazy to look it up.
I hate to be the one defending a liberal reporter!!
I can’t remember the exact question but it was posed to Biden and involved naming 3 things. Joe immediately rattled off number one, number two and number three. I knew then that he had the questions.
Well said
I think the key concept in the article is “Raddatz has been criticized for ‘interrupting [Paul Ryan] 31 times’ and even CNN called the moderator ‘the third debater.’”
Had Rattz been even-handed, probably no one would consider the visit with the VP or Zero attending her first wedding to be particularly consequential. But with her tag-teaming Ryan along with Crazy Joe, it looks very suspect.
At the very least, the Pravda wannabes (who are always squawking about “transparency”) should be upfront about the fact that they are not trying to be impartial.
He sure rattled his B.S. answers off to a tee. It bet he did have them.
She interrupted Ryan 31 times and Biden interrupted him 82 times = 113 times. Does anybody understand the meaning of the word “RUDE”?
Agreed. But who is doing the counting?
Martha Myrna Raddatz born February 14, 1953 in Idaho Falls, Idaho is an American reporter with ABC News. She currently serves as the network's Senior Foreign Affairs Correspondent. She reports for ABC's World News with Diane Sawyer, Nightline, and other network broadcasts.
Raddatz resides in Arlington, Virginia, with her third husband, journalist Tom Gjelten. She has two children from previous relationships: a daughter, Greta Bradlee, with Benjamin Bradlee, Jr. and a son, Jake Genachowski. She was previously married to Julius Genachowski, father of Jake and current head of the FCC under the Obama Administration. Additionally, Raddatz was previously married to Ben Bradlee, Jr., the father of Greta. Bradlee is Projects Editor for The Boston Globe.
Tom Gjelten is a correspondent for National Public Radio (NPR) news. Gjelten has worked for NPR since 1982, when he joined the organization as a labor and education reporter. More recently he has covered diplomatic and national security issues, based out of NPR's Washington, D.C., headquarters. Gjelten and his colleagues at NPR received a Peabody Award in 2004 for "The War in Iraq".
I am sure you know who Ben Bradlee is. It seems that she is in bed with the Dems literally and figuratively.
