A little event before the main event tonight.
Atlas Shrugged II is released in over 1,000 theaters tomorrow, BTW. Go see it. The more people see it, the the bigger the 1st weekend gross, the more local theaters will be convinced to continue this movie's run.

When was Atlas Shrugged number 1 shown and why would I want to see Atlas Shrugged II if I missed Atlas Shrugged number 1???
Well you could Google your way to the answer in the same time it took you to write your question marks.
my wife managed to find part I in southeastern pennsylvania, just outside of greater dependistan. we enjoyed it. too bad they couldn’t get the same cast for part II.
Well this broadcast was kind of a dud; it’s winding down already. For those inclined to see the movie, think about buying the ticked on Fandango, as that will more quickly pump up the opening weekend statistics, and help to generate a bandwagon effect to make it popular & keep it in the theaters.
Rent Pt1. I believe it's available on Netflix & you can rent it from Amazon for $3.00.
Mark
I just checked. It is still available on Netflix.
I want an answer with a soul to it, 666.
Atlas Shrugged1 was shown last year. If you missed it, you can get it on CD cheap.
Excellent production values.
“When was Atlas Shrugged number 1 shown and why would I want to see Atlas Shrugged II if I missed Atlas Shrugged number 1???”
You see the MSM is not a fan of Atlas Shrugged. Because it is a warning about socialism. So it was kind of Shrugged.
It is based on a 1200 page book published in 1957. The Author(Ayn Rand) was born in Russia in the early 1900’s and watched the rise of communism, And the act of the government taking away her fathers business. When she came to the US in in 1926 she was soon to learn that the USA was on the same road. Her main problem is that it appears that she did not believe in God. Other than that her book now reads like a prophecy of current times. It has never been out of print, and in recent times it has been selling in record numbers.
Have you ever heard the term “Who is John Galt”. Or “going Galt”. It comes from this book.
What would happen if all of the creative and productive people in society disappeared and all that were left were the takers, and the Government.
The book is designed to wake people up. Can’t have that. That is why you have not heard about this movie.
Good one!
Back in high school, I took senior Novel class as a sophomore and junior, and was on track to graduate early to go to college. When everyone in the class was assigned The Fountainhead, I was assigned Atlas Shrugged. It puzzled me for a long time, but now it makes sense. I’d go Galt in a heart beat. The teacher was a preacher’s kid. I think he got a little nudge. Sadly, Atlas Shrugged II isn’t being shown close enough to me to see it.
