Obama or his surrogates went around claiming that Romney would not have given the order to kill Bin Laden. Thanks to Richard Miniter's book, we know that Obama had several earlier opportunities to kill Bin Laden but refused because of Valerie Jarrett.

Miniter was on C-SPAN not long ago and was talking about intelligent analysts who were aghast that Obama went on TV soon afterwards to announce the killing. They wanted him to keep quiet until they had time to analyze the captured documents and track down the top people in Osama's network and eliminate them...they could have cripped Al Qaeda. Instead, because Obama couldn't wait to bask in the adulation he would receive, a great opportunity was thrown away.
