I notice that some nobody at “urban legends” is now a so-called expert on Arabic calligraphy, and that a good many FReepers are buying his take that the ring just has “squiggles” on it.

Never mind. Just move along.

I'm going to link to a number of variations on Arabic calligraphy that read either “there is no god but Allah” or just “Allah.

Now take a good look at them. Compare them to the “squiggles” on Zero's ring. I'm not an expert on Arabic calligraphy, but I'm pretty sure that that bottom “squiggle” could most certainly be “Allah.”

Take a look and be the judge for yourself. The Blaze consulted a real academic expert at Duke, who confirmed the inscription. I'll take that over some self-appointed know-it-all on "urban legends."
