"Actions have consequences."

Yep! Lots of energy will be expended filling the round filing bin on the floor.

My local Fox station (network Owned & Operated) didn’t even mention it as they praised Biden on foreign policy acumen and seeming like a nice guy unlike that Ryan misfit.

Correction to earlier post:

Genachowski (current FCC head, ex husband) worked with Obama on Harvard Law Review and graduated with Obama.

Raddatz dropped out of University of Utah

Remember when former Clinton staffer George Stephanopoulos opened the GOP primary debate he moderated with a bizarre string of questions about birth control —questions that just happened to dovetail with the Obama campaign’s newly-minted “war on women” theme?

That was, again, ABC.
I think if I'm a Republican candidate, I stay far, far away from stinking ABC.

I would guess the obama team has a copy of the debate questions. They are slimy enough.

I would guess ABC slipped the Ubama team the questions.
ABC is slimy enough.

Because of showmanship requirements? You’ll need someone who can read coherently in front an audience and otherwise not make a complete ass of themselves. I certainly wouldn’t be qualified...

good point

It was another form of MSM (ABC) censorship and activism. --using the time for questions, issues that dont matter to keep sun light off Obama's record. Creating a new diversion.

My impression is that Obama is not able to think on his feet.
He would fare much better if he was aware of a few planted questions and how the moderator would work the debate.
The moderator will appear perfectly unbiased during the debate. The damage will be done beforehand.

Romney already humiliated the empty suit one on one. He will now face a two against one challenge with the empty suit being propped up by the moderator and planted question.

Great job GOPe. Couldn’t have these great debate moderators without your help.
Romney and Ryan NEEDED the debates, so they had to accept the garbage dished out by the Commission.

Or do you think that Team Obama would have gone to debates hosted by Thomas Sowell, Walter Williams, etc.?

Yeah - in any negotiation, “If you need it bad, you’ll get it bad!

The only way to ever change that would be to pass a law making broadcasting debates - debates without moderators, excepting only for a chess timer to divvy up the microphone time equally - a condition for broadcast license renewal.

The existence of any moderator at all, be he never so neutral, is objectionable in principle because it “positions” the moderator above the future POTUS. Democrats aren’t bothered by that, of course, because the moderator is always “neutral” on the side of the Democratic candidate.

It is stretching it to call these things debates.

It’s more like some weird press conference with only one reporter.

The GOPe has a lot to answer for tonight. It was a disaster agreeing to let this horrible woman moderate. Ryan was fighting two people on that stage. And it was perfectly predictable.
