that's when they have establish priorities for the funding they do have
I'm thinking the US embassy in Tripoli and Consulate in Benghazi got enough money to afford a trustworthy security force armed with real weapons and real ammo, ROE permitting them to use them, and a true safe house with an attack proof bunker and an escape plan to get the US Ambassador out via a safe route
In fact, if the budget was that tight then the unguarded consulate on Benghazi, a real jihad haven, was no place for the Ambassador to be visiting, was it?
Funding is a red herring. What was lacking here was an awareness of the nature of the enemy and the will to protect the Ambassador from them. A disregard of intelligence that didn't fit their perfect world of free arabs cheering over Qaddafi's sodomized corpse. A State Department full of Hillary's anti military wonks who were more concerned about finding jobs for homosexuals and loathe to call in the Marines, too PC to have armed guards, and to admit some Libyan “freedom fighters” needed killing
Exactly right. Why was he there if it could not be protected?
