I wonder if WHDH sent someone to ask the SEAL's wife what she thought of it.

I don't even know if he was married.

My guess is that he was. If that is indeed the case, I would also guess that WHDH sent someone to ask her and she's okay with it.

Otherwise, they would've run with THAT story.

Nope.Once someone gives their life in service to the country he/she becomes a "public person" who can be praised (not criticized) by anyone...including any Presidential candidate.I suspect that just as is the case with Cindy Sheehan and her deceased son,this woman's son is far more respectable than is the mother.
