Conceding that he failed to deliver at last weeks debate, President Obama says he was just too polite and that voters should expect a little more activity next week in round two.
In a radio interview on the Tom Joyner Morning Show, Obama compared the presidential race to a seven-game basketball series in which he was ahead two-nothing and lost one game to Mitt Romney at the debate.
You have a seven-game series, were up two zero and we lose one, he explained. You know, this is a long haul and I think that its very important for folks to make sure that they understand that as long as people stay focused, we will win this thing.
The good news is thats just the first one, the president said of last weeks debate. Governor Romney put forward a whole bunch of stuff that either involved him running away from positions that he had taken or doubling down on things like Medicare vouchers that are going to hurt him long-term.
Keep in mind, that the issues that are at stake for folks havent changed, he continued. Weve got millions of people whove got health care now because of our health care bill and they wont have it if Mitt Romney is elected president.

If by “polite” he means “clueless and unprepared,” then yes.
THAT's the ticket.
Worse for Zero, this is a townhall where people are not going to want an angry aggressive person talking to them.
Ooooh!
The Won used a basketball metaphor.
He must be an authentic African-American!
Too much Valium to settle his nerves. He almost fell asleep at the podium.
lying and accusing falsely is “polite”?
I wonder if this means we are about to be treated to the return of the “middle” finger approach to dissing the people he is debating.
” You have a seven-game series, were up two zero and we lose one, he explained. “
Basic math eludes TOTUS....
as in 57 states......
Harvard Law School....LOL
They are still making up excuses LOL!
The President has twice the work cut out for him after the first debate.
He has to remove the stink of the first debate, and demonstrate competence on this next debate’s topic: FOREIGN POLICY.
Good luck with that.
Like I said, 0 needs a longggg rest.
Romney was impolite.
Always accuse your enemy of what you do yourself.
” I predicted this last week: Obama, having had so much criticism for not being aggressive enough and “too nice,” will be angry, aggressive, breathing fire . . . in a foreign policy debate, where people want to see a calm, resolve, sober approach. If I didn’t know better I’d say Romney set him up with a body blow for the haymaker. “
I stated this (almost verbatim) to a pal last night.
Good luck with that, Mr. President. I’m sure “activity” will be easier than real preparation, and that’s the important thing, right?
I get the feeling that the President is revving up to make a bigger ass of himself at next week’s debate than he did at last weeks debate.
Good. We will get to see the real 0bama chanelling Jeremiah Wright. Americassss chickensss comin home to roost!
So, now he is tipping his hand that he’s going to be rude and obnoxious? That should really work in his favor, with the Daily Kos people.
This “active” Obama will end poorly for him. See my post linked below for my reasons why:

Romney bullied Leher
Romney had notes .
Romney lied so stupendously that zero was dumbfounded
zero is just too nice.
