I don’t know about State Dept anonymity (if true, even WORSE), but YES to everything else -— AND, FOX was purposely excluded.
Didn’t see Greta, but only report I have seen on this press briefing comes from AP. They provide a timeline that ends with... “Stevens couldn’t be found.”

Total BS that fascists give press briefing to chosen few about a matter which, by its very nature, is an act of war against the US.

Not sure what the precedence is for this sort of background briefing, but when I heard about it last night I was immediately struck by the fact that it was a major CYA move from Foggy Bottom.
