Exactly. The international elite, who deem themselves as existing above the petty claims of loyalty to country, dream of recreating the privileged world of the 18th century, before the American and French Revolutions, when gentlemen of Vienna and Paris could expect deference and hospitality from their "peers" in England -- and of course instant obedience and lock-tugging obeisance from the English commoners.
They dream of a world in which to be one of them is to be on Easy Street for life. Sort of like the way they have it now, only without the nervousness attendant on reliance on voluntary American contributions to their perpetual movable feast.

I agree emphatically...they want us vassals and serfs. And yet, we put up with this crap?
