The ring story appears to have been successfully debunked. Thanks to Swamp40 for finding this. See the high resolution pic in post 126. It’s just a pattern, not Arabic.
That’s the best image I have seen, thanks for posting it, quite obviously there’s no symbol, it’s an african elephant hair-ring made in gold, and what are supposed to be symbols are nothing but loops.
Just because he’s been wearing it since his youth on the finger one normally wears a wedding ring, doesn’t make it a wedding ring. There’s nothing normal about zero.

The high resolution picture was very interesting indeed, I still wonder what the story is behind the ring.
Considering how long he has worn it, and even used it for a wedding band, their is a story here somewhere.
