You are correct, I probably should have said mammals. (Can’t think of any that eat their young)

Their own young? Not many. Lions come to mind if the young males try and usurp Papa’s place at the top of the pride.

Primates? We’re a brutal lot from the top down. Even packs of chimps will slaughter rival troop’s members for fun.

We need that veneer of civilization burnt into our brains like a BIOS on a CMOS chip in a computer. Without it, we tend to revert...
