Obama spokeswoman Jen Psaki says the campaign was tapping into a "grassroots outcry" when it put together an ad attacking Mitt Romney for wanting to de-fund Big Bird.
"There's been a strong grassroots outcry over the attacks on Big Bird. This is something that mothers across the country are alarmed about, and you know, we're tapping into that," Psaki told reporters aboard Air Force One on Tuesday.

She said the campaign has received a request from Sesame Street to pull the Big Bird ad but hasn’t decided whether it will comply.
“We’re reviewing it,” she said.
Psaki, Obama spokes person.
They are reviewing it????
Republican response.
Ah, soon it will be Bush’s fault.
NEVER, EVER Obama’s fault!
I’m sure that for the 40% of voters who absolutely, certainly will vote for the anti-Christ, this is a vital issue.
For the 60% of the population that is not delusional or low-IQ, maybe not as much.
Great response.

How about you guys just jumped the shark?
I think secretly Bumby is blaming Big Bird.
He just can’t get a break today.
Good for us.
Wow, hopefully with that newly grown sense of humour the GOP can grow a spine too!
I remain hopeful!
“There’s been a strong grassroots outcry over the attacks on Big Bird.”

Why on earth are women not outraged at this portrayal of them as hysterical goofballs.
I think that bus is going to need some new tires soon...
...and a front-end alignment...
My kids have NEVER watched sesame street. Over the years, it has been invaded with PC crap.
Big Bird staying on the air is the least of my worries. And for kids there are plenty of shows for them to watch.
“You folks may not have a job but I’ll make sure you have Big Bird, no matter how much it costs you”.
That’s so wrong!! Sam, the American Eagle is a great American, and definitely a conservative. :)
