Gallup Poll to Show Romney, Obama Tied Among Likely Voters

In previous Gallup daily polling including on Monday, Obama has held a 5 percentage-point lead among registered voters. But the Gallup poll to come Tuesday will report results from a smaller pool among those voters, those who are likely to vote. That change in the poll's method will "wipe out" the president's lead, Page said.

"Republicans are more energized and more likely to actually go and vote," she added.

What a pathetically sad comment about this country that this election is even close.

Assuming of course it really is....

Former Gov. Mitt Romney and President Barack Obama are virtually tied among likely voters, a new Gallup daily tracking poll will show, according to USA Today’s Washington Bureau Chief Susan Page.

In light of the Axelrod lawsuit, I have a feeling Gallup will still manipulate the numbers to show the Kenyan ahead.

Would love to be pleasantly surprised tomorrow though.

We need to be careful, and still look at the internals before cheering. Apparently this poll may be oversampling Republicans. Enough so that the Obama Campaign is squealing like a stuck pig.

Which is the most important aspect of this: in squealing, the Obama Campaign is explicitly acknowledging that the Party ID oversample/undersample matters. That’s a massive win for us, because when all the previous polls were manually unskewed by Freepers and others, they’ve consistently shown the contest even or Romney ahead.

We are lucky that things aren't so far gone that we still have a chance. Just imagine being a productive person in most European countries, or places like Venezuela, etc.

I feel like it’s a sad commentary if even 20% vote for Obama.

Imagine, 50 people in a room, and 10 are voting for Obama.

What is wrong with people? I can understand up to 10% being very stupid or very wicked. But no more than that.

I'm guessing public skool/Hollyweird indoctrination.

Actually, that is the Pew poll that showed a pretty big GOP lead. It is oversampling Republicans.

Virtually tied? That tells me Romney is probably leading. If it was tied, they wouldn't use the word virtually.

If Obama was even 1 point ahead the headline would read..... Obama still leading in likely voters.

I’ll probably just hang myself if Obama wins.

Current polls are not precise and reflect questionable assumptions and wishful thinking on the part of the mainstream media pollsters, who are in the bag for their Golden Boy, Obama. Polls are weighted averages of people who respond to telephone surveys. People who are at home to respond to telephone surveys are mostly the unemployed and elderly - hardly a representative sample of voters. Dick Morris explained all this on O’Reilly last week and predicted Obama will lose - BIG!

And remember: once you are in the cloistered privacy of your polling station, you can flip the lever for whomever you want and do not have to answer to anyone but yourself and God, certainly not any telephone pollsters. If you voted for Obama last time because you got carried away, face the truth, tell God you’re truly sorry, swear off the Kool-Aid and vote for the Mittster.

The only vote that counts is the one on Election Day, so get your a$$ to the polls and VOTE - your Life, Liberty and Property may well depend on it!
