Wasserman Schultz, Harrington face final month of campaign

TALLAHASSEE - So what may lie ahead for South Florida's most visible woman politician? Four-term U.S. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz has been talked about as a future House Speaker, a future governor, even a potential member of the Obama administration if it wins re-election.
But, first the 46-year-old Weston resident must get past a determined restaurateur from Davie who is hoping to be the Republican who pierces the Democratic National Committee chair's armor.
Karen Harrington, 48, who lost to Wasserman Schultz in 2010, is hoping this time around that with greater name recognition and more time to raise money, she'll have persuaded most voters in the U.S. House District 23 to prefer her.
"I knew the night I lost, I wanted to run again," Harrington told the Sun Sentinel.
