Good post on Axelrod's background. I don't know it for a fact, but my I wouldn't be surprised if Axelrod was raised in a far left family himself. "Red Diaper Babies" were a common phenomenon back then.

Should be Paul KENGOR (no "l"). "The Communist," BTW, is a biography of Frank Marshall Davis, best known now as young Obama's mentor and black male role model during Zero's adolescent years in Hawaii. Davis was a card carrying member of CPUSA.

Thanks for the clarification on the author’s spelling. I’m embarrassed because I’m reading “The Communist” right now and should know better.

It is a great book — highly recommended. We have more communists in the government at the highest levels than FDR did.
