Started the EPA
Proposed a guaranteed annual income
Vastly increased funding for the National Endowment for the Arts, which subsidizes offensive "art" projects
Retained thousands of holdovers from the Kennedy/Johnson administration in government positions
Legitimized Mao's regime in Red China
Signed the SALT I agreement that guaranteed the Soviets superiority in missiles and choked off our anti-ballistic missile program
Vastly increased aid and trade with the East Bloc
Pulled out of Vietnam

I was just having a debate with a very liberal friend about de-funding PBS and they said I should be for taxpayer funding because Nixon did it.

I guess they thought if Nixon did it, I should be all for it.

Nixon, in the 1950 California senate race, defeated Helen Ghahagan Douglas. Nixon accurately labeled her a communist “fellow traveler.”

To this day, the left cannot talk about this race without breaking down into slobbering fits.

Watergate was the payback.
