Imagine having to go on Tom Joyner’s show to shore up your husband’s standing amongst the Dems most reliable votes. That’s why Obama lost so badly in the debates. He still has to shore up his base and cannot move to the center to capture independents.
BTW, the line works. A black guy was telling me he was voting for Obama because the GOP Congress wouldn’t work with him and he deserved more time.
