Gallup confirms Romney's post-debate surge
Numbers are now 0 49% R 46%, vs a 6% lead for 0 pre-debate.
Keep in mind that this is a 7 day poll, so it will be a while before the full impact of the debate is reflected in Gallup.
Gallup also continues to poll only registered (not likely) voters.

I was wondering when Gallup was going to come out of that hole they climbed into several days ago.
As Clint noted, the Empty Chair improved by codetoad:
ROMNEY LOST THE DEBATE! OBAMA IS IN CONTROL!
It is past time to fire Barack and his empty chair and have both of them hit the road back to Chicago!
So hit the road Barack and take your empty chair and empty suit with you!
Registered voters..incomplete impact of debate victory...3 point gap....I like those numbers.
Where be the relentless stories from the media about poll numbers now? Daily and hourly pushing of Obo’s fake poll numbers? Go media, go!
As of today 71% of the respondents still polled pre-debate. Just 29% are post-debate. Plus, still RV mode.
A decent rule of thumb is that there is a 5-6 point difference between RV and LV on Gallup. Typically, you need to add 4 points to the Republican’s number and take away 1 or 2 from the Democrat.
So this is around 50-47 LV. I think they come out with their LV on Monday (they have been polling Likely voters all week) and will have a 7-day LV average on Monday. What a shock if it shows Romney at 50% or higher!!!
