It may sound simplistic, but there is a strong element of truth to that. Male homosexuals tend to have very low testosterone, very high estrogen, or both, while the reverse is true for females. What I find particularly bizarre is that a person with low testosterone and high estrogen should be attracted to the reverse - a straight man or a lesbian woman - yet they end up with like people. If gay men like men, then why do they choose extremely effeminate partners? Similarly, why do lesbian couples usually look like a pair of hockey players?

I agree. I guess it’s because probably the one they want(whether it’s a feminine woman or a masculine man) would never want them. So they have to settle for second(or third or last) choice instead. Which only adds to their psychological disorder and frustration.
