“Do not confuse the low number of people who trust the MSM with the longing for a conservative or even a check/balanced media. Many of those who distrust the MSM do so because they believe the media is biased to the right (especially toward big evil corporate America. These people want a more leftist media!”
I’d believe your statement if you could offer a modicum of proof, but you can’t. In 2010, the left-wingers were slaughtered all across the country.
Patriots and conservatives took over the US House of Representatives and elected more than 700 patriots and conservatives to the state legislatures, giving us effective control of 26 states.
Now, I realize that we have a gloom and doom, surrender-monkey contingent here on FR that loves raising the white flag and whining like little girls who found a bug in their teacup. That’s okay. They’re identified, tabulated and marked.
Other than that, we’re doing okay. How about you?
I’m far from doom & gloom prophet. In fact, I’m often battling them. However, I also want to be realistic. An election or two doesn’t say anything much about the reality that the country is pretty divided into about 40-45% and 10-20% swing voters. Hence, we had 2006, 2008, and 2010 swings. As such, opinion numbers on certain issue, like the media, presidency, congress, and so on, should reflect that, but they don’t. Take Bush Jr numbers for instance, which at point was quite low at around 30% or something. Leftist used the numbers as an argument that the people reject conservatism. But that’s not true. The numbers reflected the fact that some conservatives ‘hated’ Bush for being too liberal! Same here with the media. The low numbers reflect the disappointment from both left and right. One wants to see them more to the left, the other want to see them move to the right.
