However we will concede that he may be the smartest democrat.
The day after the debate he rang again. I was expecting him to say, Hey, you were right! Can you come on to talk about how Romney won? Instead, he said, Can you come to talk about how debates dont really matter? I sighed deeply.
The Brits understand.
Betcha anything that Nobama is going to back out of the remainder of debates. His glee club (the media) will tell bold lies about terrorism and security taking his time away from “campaigning” (as he continues to do fund raisers and campaign speeches). Just watch. Nobama’s boss(Soros) won’t let Romney get anymore face time with the US public. The risk is too high and the they can always spin his no-show (at the debates) to be plausibly truthful.
Newsweek editor Evan Thomas brought adulation over President Obamas Cairo speech to a whole new level on Friday, declaring on MSNBC: “I mean in a way Obamas standing above the country, above above the world, hes sort of God.”
Anybody here still think we’d be better off somehow or other with Rick Santorum as our candidate???
The MSM are quite simply nothing more than the DNC Ministry of Propaganda.
Those of us in Arseachusetts knew all along. Mitt is the consumate executive. He eats details for breakfast. Keep it up, Mitt.
Romney did good... fine.
Mondale did good in 1984 against Reagan in the first debate and Reagan crushed him in the election.
We beat the Brits in 2 wars, and many of them are more appreciative of American values than are most pundits in America.
Romney’s performance in the debate was very reassuring to Republicans who have only seen him as portrayed by the Democrats/media.
Those Republicans have heaved a sigh of relief and now will be confidently voting for R/R. They know he can win and they know he will be able to lead.
I'm so sad that Romney beat the LIBERAL MEDIA... /s
There's no such thing as a mainstream media. The DLEMM - Dominant Liberal Establishment Mass Media - aka the fourth estate - is leftist not mainstream. People need to stop referring to those pukes as if they're mainstream.
Somehow I ended up on a left wing mailing list of Move On. This is an email re how the left wing progressives feel about the debate:
Dear MoveOn member,
That was infuriating.
During last night’s presidential debate, Mitt Romney smirked his way through dozens of mischaracterizations, distortions, and outright lies. The moderator, Jim Lehrer, never cut him off. And now the mainstream media is saying that Mitt won the debate.
We can’t let Romney “win” the debate on a boatload of lies.
He lied about his tax plan, his deficit plan, and Medicare. He lied about what “Obamacare” would do. He lied, baldly and convincingly, about Obama’s entire presidency.1
We need to move quickly to set the record straight. Our online team worked overnight preparing a media blitzincluding online ads targeted at swing-state voterscorrecting the worst lies in an easy-to-share format.
Chip in $5 to get the truth outcountering Mitt’s lies.
If we don’t fight back now with the truth, some of those lies will stick, and Romney could pull ahead.
Already, Romney and his Super PAC friends have spent millions on blatantly false ads attacking President Obama for gutting work requirements for welfare and cutting $700 million from Medicare.
Last night was more of the same.
And research shows that when lies get repeated enough times people will believe themno matter how outlandish they might seem. The only way to keep Romney honest is to make sure the facts get corrected on the spot.
We’re now in the moment when millions of undecided voters who don’t usually pay attention to politics start to focus.
This is it. This is what MoveOn’s massive online network is for. Let’s use it.
Please chip in $5.
Thanks for all you do.
