Post 54: Schedule for Clinton and Obama on 9-11-12:
“12:00 p.m. Secretary Clinton meets with Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta and National Security Adviser Tom Donilon, at the White House.”
“Later in the afternoon, the President and the Vice President will meet with Secretary of Defense Panetta in the Oval Office.”
Obama and Panetta already had a meeting scheduled for “later in the afternoon.” Panetta, Donilon, and Dempsey are members of the National Security Council, along with Clinton, Geithner and Holder. Jarrett, Axelrod, Clapper, and Petraeus are not on the NSC.
So now the Vice-President is in on the meeting?
And I believe DNI Clapper is as much a member as JSC Chair Dempsey.
