My theory is: cocaine.
Okay, maybe Xanax or some other prescription medication.
This morning Obama is upbeat and bubbling with enthusiasm.
Last night he was flat, deflated, disinterested.
Obama was unprepared last night. Is anyone surprised? He was unprepared when he took the oath of office and he has remained so for four years. Oh, did I mention that he is also lazy.
I live in Colorado at 7,700 feet. Pro football teams learned long ago to come into Denver right before their games as the effects are felt less at first and much more a day or two later. Obama flew in just hours before the debate so altitude was not his problem.
Obama is weak when challenged directly, that’s all. Everyone has been afraid to challenge him due to the race baiting. Romney challenged him without looking racist, and that defense is now gone.
Axelrod can ‘polish’ zero’s style all he wants. The truth is that without his teleprompter and MSM zero cannot defend the indefensible. Zero lacks substance.
When you say “bad” you don’t mean in a good way, right?
LLS
I personally have never thought him to be a particularly good speaker. Compared to Bush or McCain sure, but only only TotUS. Off TotUS, he’s a blithering idiot.
Love is blind. Sorry, America.
First, Romney must be made to bow down to Obama because after all Obama is the President and Romney is merely a (former) Governor.
Second, Obama needs more time than Romney. This is because Obama, being a creatively gifted, right-lobed man, tends to say “um” and “ugh,” as his unprecedented genius gathers all the relevant information and carefully constructs the proper, nuanced and balanced response.
Third, Romney shouldn’t be allowed to use “facts.” Anybody can look up facts, nowadays. Therefore, knowledge of facts does not qualify anybody to be President. What is important isn’t what the facts are, but how you feel the facts should be.
Fourth and most importantly, nobody should ever “correct” the President. This might undermine the authority of the office. Ordinary people might think that the President is himself an ordinary person and not their better. How, then, could the government “ask” the people to take advantage of the opportunities it offers them to serve others through military conscription, forced “voluntary service,” and the patriotic duty to pay taxes?
Navy corpsemen. Your Honor, I rest my case.
All he did last night was fall back into weakly constructed philosophical arguments. That's all he had because that's who he is. A Marxist true believer who has gotten by in life and has been resolutely protected by a fawning, corrupt MSM. Obama was simply unmasked last night.
They were willing accomplices in the creation of the 0bama myth, and like 0bama himself they came to believe that myth was a reality. One of the central tenets of that fabrication was that 0bama was untouchable, unflappable, invincible.
Now they are faced with the disintegration of their delusional belief system.
But another aspect of this that too few people have understood is how much last night's debate was like the first Carter/Reagan debate -- not for the media, but for ordinary Americans. If you were alive then, you know that despite Carter's dismal performance in all areas, foreign and domestic, the race was still close. Then the American people got to see Ronald Reagan as he was, without the distortion of the media's lens. He wasn't a crazy person, a dimwit, an extremist or a bomb-thrower. He was a charming man of humility, intelligence, humor and common sense.
Some of us knew Ronald Reagan, Ronald Reagan was a friend of ours; and Mitt Romney is no Ronald Reagan. But he is not the bumbling imbecile that the media has so far been able to portray him as. Last night people got to hear Mitt Romney without the braying of the jackasses in the collaborationist press.
And that is going to have far more serious consequences for Barack 0bama than his own abysmal debate performance.
When Romney answered, you could tell that he was drawing upon years of experience and knowledge.
When Obama answered, you could tell that he was repeating rehearsed talking points.
Romney was able to further each topic with additional examples and facts.
Obama would quickly run out of memorized talking points and would start repeating himself. He doesn't have the deep well of personal experience to draw from.
After the third time that Obama tried to say that Romney would raise the debt by $5 trillion and Romney shut him down for a third time saying "Stop saying that," you could hear Obama mutter "Okay."
Obama looked like a man who only attended two Cabinet meetings in 2012, and skipped 2/3rds of his daily briefings.

“Why was President Obama so bad?”
He has accomplished nothing, zero, zilch, nada. Coupled that with the fact that he is not truthful and is a Marxist /socialist>
1. He lies.
2. He hates God.
3. He took the Sacred Oath of Office and forced God to witness to his lie.
4. He cursed himself.
5. He got the democratic party to remove both Israel and any reference to God in the platform.
6. His people verbally denied God three times in the face of the world with no remorse.
It would be safe to say that God is in the process of removing any support Obama may have had because of his office.
“Why was [ ] Obama so bad?”
In part because he is a white hating -country wrecking - constitution destroying - lying socialist - homosexual loving - corrupt organized crime boss - anti-American - incompetent epic failure - arrogant Black muslim bastard son of a communist whore.
I hope he feels my love.
In Canada, the party leaders debate each other in Parliament hundreds (or thousands) of times between elections. They hone debating skills to a lethal edge (in two official languages). Also, they really get to know their opponents: their strengths and weaknesses; where their buttons are, and how to push them.
