Obama is an average intellect, average speaker, with below-average experience and knowledge. He has the additional burden and blindness of carrying leftist cliches and fantasies around with him, regardless of how reality proves him wrong again and again.
It creates a lot of cognitive dissonance and confusion for Obama in his own mind.

Very well stated. Yes, the leftist cliches which only intellectuals and academics cheering on the sidelines can continue to believe. Gunther Grass, Gabriel Garcia Marquez come to mind. The leaders on the other hand at some point stop believing them (example: Mikhail Gorbachov), and just go on for a ride, repeating the nonsense like Fidel Castro has been doing. Obama, Axelrod, Ayers appear to be true believers to the end. Even Chairman Bob Avakian appears to have “grown” his views a bit. Not Obama.
