Just today your press secretary said that you believed the federal government’s response to the Katrina disaster was “color-blind.”
However, there is a videotape at the time of the disaster where you, then a senator, `mau-mau’ed’ this tragedy by telling a mostly black audience of ministers that the country’s leaders “don’t care about” New Orleans residents, suggesting the city was neglected in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina because of institutional racism.
So, what do you really believe, Mr. President? What you said then, or what you had your press secretary say today?
