Okay....this is my question. If Tucker was in the audience when this speech was given in 2007 why did he not report it during the 2008 campaign instead of just now?
He wasn’t in the audience .... he reported off of what was supposed to be the official ‘transcript’ as released by Obama’s people.
I can tell you what happened, not only with Carlson but also with the rest of the press that was there that day.
They cover and follow and hear these guys say the same things day in, day-out, for months on end. They were given an advanced copy of the speech, the one that’s been on the web today.
They didn’t listen. They didn’t catch his off-script remarks. They did the easy, lazy thing and wrote their stories from the advanced copy instead of from what he actually said.
I know. I was once one of them.
