As the article says, she’s the broad who wrote “The Color Purple.”

I don’t know who Alice Walker is

Remembering a way back to my days in college (early 90's), she's a highly-revered writer/poet in English, Black Studies, Poetry, Literature, and other lib ed departments. I presume that many college (and probably some high school) students are introduced to her through the overly-liberal syllabi. Her style did not do much for me.

A writer, most notably of The Color Purple, of which I made it throuh the first chapter only....
