Raleigh, N.C. — Raleigh police have charged two people with murder in connection with a fatal shooting early Monday near North Carolina State University's Centennial Campus.

Quamir Alteriq Rogers, 21, and Twanisha Stewart, 27, are being held in the Wake County jail.

The shooting happened around 12:30 a.m. in the 4000 block of Neeley Street, off Western Boulevard.

Raleigh police said officers responding to an emergency call about a shooting found Markeith Alexander Tennessee, 29, dead outside a home.

The incident prompted university police to send out an alert warning the campus community.

The alert, sent shortly after 1 a.m., said Raleigh police were searching for three assailants – a black female wearing red pants and two black males wearing red hoodies.

The assailants fled the scene in a white SUV, according to the alert.

Raleigh police said they do not believe there is any danger to the campus and that the shooting does not appear to be random.

Residents on Neeley Street are shocked by the shooting, and several rushed to Tennessee’s aid after hearing gunshots.

"He had blood all along his shirt, so I lifted his shirt to see where he had been shot," said neighbor Stanley Hagins, who ran back inside his house to get a towel to stop the bleeding.

"He was breathing when I went out there, but when I put the towel on (the bullet wound), he stopped breathing," Hagins continued. "I checked his pulse, and he had no pulse, and that was, you know, kind of devastating."

Those who spoke to WRAL News said Tennessee was a polite and kind man who liked helping others and didn't have any enemies.

"He was a really good dude," Rover Qadourah said. "If you really needed it, he would look out for you.

Quamir and Twanisha. Two good solid Amish names.

3 less votes for Obozo.

3 extra cartons of smokes and 3 extra bottles of malt liquor that would have been used to get them to go vote or put their 'X' on an absentee ballot.

I didn’t mean to be snarky, offensive, or certainly start any poop storm in ‘correcting’ you. I just couldn’t find that info in any article. That’s when I started searching those databases and the guy came up clean.

No problem, this is the Internet... a place I go to ‘shoot first and aim later’ sometimes...

:)

Still, I am far more accurate and honest than the MSM!
