P.S., Reagan changed his viewpoint, just like Romney has changed his viewpoint on abortion. Now, good nite:

“Allowed abortion as CA Gov.; didn’t push pro-life as Pres.

Reagan was not as obsessive about anti-abortion legislation as he often seemed. Early in his California governorship he had signed a permissive abortion bill that has resulted in more than a million abortions. Afterward, he inaccurately blamed this outcome on doctors, saying that they had deliberately misinterpreted the law. When Reagan ran for president, he won backing from pro-life forces by advocating a constitutional amendment that would have prohibited all abortions except when necessary to save the life of the mother. Reagan’s stand was partly a product of political calculation, as was his tactic after he was elected of addressing the annual pro-life rally held in Washington by telephone so that he would not be seen with the leaders of the movement on the evening news. While I do not doubt Reagan’s sincerity in advocating an anti-abortion amendment, he invested few political resources toward obtaining this goal.

I might add that I loved Ronald Reagan, campaigned for him as a Republican Committeeman where I lived at the time, and received an invitation to his inaugural, which I still have and cherish. End of conversation.

You don't love Reagan, you are lying and calling him pro-abortion, trying to rewrite him into a pro-abortion, Romney like ghoul, yet you cannot find any writing, any speech, any quote, anything of Reagan ever saying anything, but that he was against abortion.

It is called lying, Mitt hates Reagan also, and has spent 5 years trying to create the myth that Reagan was "adamantly pro-choice", Mitt has spread that on TV, and radio and print interviews, and you have joined him in that totally anti-Reagan lie, and attack.

Reagan was never pro-abortion and even your anti-Reagan paragraph by that anti-Reagan biographer, doesn't contradict that Reagan was always pro=life.

Cannon and you are lying about Reagan when you claim this, "Afterward, he inaccurately blamed this outcome on doctors, saying that they had deliberately misinterpreted the law."

As you can see, the abortion bill that new Governor Reagan was signing in the more innocent, naive time of 1967 in regards to the left and abortion, required a board of doctors for a health abortion.

Contrary to Cannon and you, some doctors started "misinterpreting " the law, and were being brought up on charges before the medical boards. JANUARY 22, 1968
