As a freshman at Columbia University in 1970, future Attorney General Eric Holder participated in a five-day occupation of an abandoned Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) headquarters with a group of black students later described by the universitys Black Students Organization as armed, The Daily Caller has learned.
Department of Justice spokeswoman Tracy Schmaler has not responded to questions from The Daily Caller about whether Holder himself was armed and if so, with what sort of weapon.
Holder was then among the leaders of the Student Afro-American Society (SAAS), which demanded that the former ROTC office be renamed the Malcolm X Lounge. The change, the group insisted, was to be made in honor of a man who recognized the importance of territory as a basis for nationhood.

The fraud, Afro-wannabe, has the hairdo but is wearing Western garb. Where’s the dashiki?
Unfortunately, the college was cowed into not pressing any charges against any of them. Appeasement at its best. They even gave them the building and they named it the Malcolm X lounge. See what happens when you don’t prosecute thugs and lawbreakers? They grow up, cut their hair, and eventually run the government’s justice department.
1. DOJ run by a domestic terrorist
2. Sect’y of State dating a domestic terrorist
3. Prez went to a church headed up by a preacher who approved of terrorism
4. What did I miss...?
Not to my knowledge. Excesses of youth, etc., like Ayers. /sarc
"Holder particularly connected with four other African-American students at Columbia, correspondent Wil S. Hylton wrote. We took over the ROTC lounge in Hartley Hall and created the Malcolm X Lounge, said a laughing Steve Sims, one of those students."
Hylton described Sims as the attorney generals closest friend and a man Holder describes as his consigliere.
"Among the black professors who publicly supported Holder and the SAAS during this period was Black history teacher Hollis Lynch, who is one of four professors Holder later said shaped my worldview.
Pinging a few Freepers. Is this "old" news? Did we know all of this?
In 1981 (while Obama was at Columbia) a group of Black Liberation Army folks teamed up with some Weather Underground types and killed two policemen and an armored car guard in Nyack NY (25 minutes North of Columbia University). One of the killers, a Columbia University PHD recipient is now on the faculty at Columbia.
Guess who raised her kid while she was in jail? Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dorn: those folks from the neighborhood where Obama lived in Chicago. Small world.

Holder graduated from Stuvesant High School, one of the best high schools in the country.
NEWYORKCITYGOPMAN, graduated from Stuyvesant HS, too, the same year, June 1969.
I may or may not have been in classes with him. I do NOT remember him.
I am not sure if I interacted with HOLDER, but I definitely did interact with another leftist POS. In March 1970 when the town house house blew up on West 11th Street, one of those killed in the explosion was TED GOLD, one of the leaders of the SDS at Columbia. They were making explosives to use at a dance at Fort Dix. Many military personnel and others there would have been killed, so thank goodness they goofed and just killed themselves. I belive Bill Ayers was involved in the planning of the potential Fort Dix military massacre. Ted Gold’s father, a doctor, and a mediocre one at that, was known as the doctor to the radicals. When you hear a parent loses a child, your natural instinct is to express sorrow and sympathy. NOT in this case!
TED GOLD lived in my building and I played stickball with him.
We never had dealings other than the stickball. But if he knew that I was a Republican activist, he might have given ME a hard time. I don’t think he knew anything about me, other than as a neigbhor and a ball player.
I guess, as with any Administration, there can be a debate about the merits, or lack thereof, the President’s policies.
But there is NO debate about this. This President has been close to some of the most evil American leftists and haters, you could possibly imagine. And he’s proud of this.
Makes you wonder why most of the republicans voted for his confirmation... well actually it doesn’t...
Really glad we are finding out about this....now
Here is yet another associate of Mr. Soetoro that is “guilty as hell, free as a bird”, and PROUD of it. I want to puke!
Thanks for sharing. I hope you kicked his ass in stickball.
Clinton’s fault!
They aren't 'letting' him get away with anything. They are helping him.
Pat Caddell slams the media: They have become an enemy of the people (video 26:00)
Why is this piece of filth walking around alive and free? In a better world, he would be neither.
>>Even Clintons crew wasnt this crooked!<<
Eric Holder was Deputy Attorney General in the Clinton administration.
He was instrumental in getting the Marc Rich pardon through. Corruption runs deep.
Sure that’s not Link from the mod squad?
Not to be confused with Link from the great series Prison Break.
Holder and his people...(eye roll). I don’t remember this coming up during his confirmation at all!!
