On, Tuesday, October 30, over two thousand schools across the nation will be observing "Mix It Up" (MIT) day. MIT is a nationwide push to promote the homosexual lifestyle in public schools. A strong focus is directed specifically to elementary and junior high grades.
MIT is a project of the fanatical pro-homosexual group, Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC). This is the same organization that launched hateful and malicious rhetoric toward the Family Research Council just prior to the August shooting of a security guard by a SPLC sympathizer.
See if your school is on the list

How can Mr. Obama be at 1,000 schools on the same day?
They’ve BEEN doing this at the Waterloo NY school district for YEARS (school my husband’s children go to)
Do they also push to promote heterosexuality? If not, then the Southern Poverty Law Center is promoting hate (against hetero’s).
Good point. And the answer is almost certainly “no.”
Most homosexuals I know are FAR from “poverty stricken” so the Southern Law POVERTY center, being free legal aid for double income—no kids “couples” is quite the joke.
this “MIT” Site seems to be down. Let’s hope its due to outrage and massive conservative response
The ACLU just filed suit to stop Father-Daughter dances at one school. Waiting for them to sue the SPLC ....
drumming fingers ... twiddling thumbs ... crickets ... dead silence.
That’s exactly what I was thinking. And here’s hoping that the folks who finally get through will follow through with calling their children’s schools with deafening outrage.
I didn’t even know there was such a thing as homosexuality when I was in middle school.
Is it me, or is SPLC suddenly getting a LOT of airplay?
I’ve been familiar with them since my undergrad days in the late 80s/early 90s, but before the CFA flap I hadn’t heard about them for years. Now they’re all over the place being cited as the final arbiter of what constitutes “hate”. Why the sudden prominance?
They're the new Trojan Horse of choice for the Gaystapo. Only reason.
The first time I started to have an idea about it, was in middle school after seeing Ode to Billy Joe.
Damn, I’m in Maricopa county and I see there are 51 schools participating. However, the map doesn’t work...won’t load. Hopefully, the Charter school my kids are going to, isn’t participating in this. I doubt they are....hence why I pulled my kids from PUBLIC school to this one...
But as to this whole Teaching Tolerance? My @$$!
I bet many are intolerant to this crap being indoctrinated into our kids, and yet we’re called “homophobic”, if we protest.
And shouldn’t “tolerance” against unnatural and sinful lifestyles be the PARENTS JOB to teach THEIR kids?????
I say, schools need to be privatized and go back to teaching the READING, WRITING and ARITHMETIC they were intended to teach. None of this PC, faggoty, behavioral indoctrination BS!!! I will decide what my kids learn when it comes to religion, politics, culture, society, and most importantly what they should or should NOT tolerate. THIS Mix It Up BS, should NOT be tolerated, by any measure!!!
Neither did most of us. The Anita Bryant fracas was just over with when I entered middle school, and I had no idea what it was about. Good parents sheltered their children from such smut.
Parents should pull their kids out of school that day.
And thereafter.
It's not you. As the author points out in the link below the SPLC's newest nastiness is directly attributable to the reprehensible little snake they've hired as their propagandist and Ax Man, Mark Potok.
If there's a reason the SPLC emphasizes homosexuality these days, take a close look at Potok's picture and, worse, listen to him speak. That told me all I needed to know.
The site takes a long time to load or doesnt load but heres an idea of TX counties participating. BTW, of the 10 most participating counties in the nation, TX has 3. We even beat out CA:
Harris Co. has 31 schools
Dallas Co. has 27 schools
Travis Co. has 18 schools
Some of the schools include:
Alamo Heights Junior High School, San Antonio, Texas
Argyle High School, Argyle, Texas
Clayton Downing Middle School, Flower Mound, Texas
Hawley Middle School, Hawley, Texas
Onesimo Hernandez Elementary School, Dallas, Texas
Palm Elementary School, Austin, Texas
YES Prep Southwest, Houston, Texas
Not surprise at Dallas or Travis counties. At least Tarrant didn’t make it - yet.
