Rappers Young Jeezy and Rick Ross got into a fight Saturday (Sept. 29) at the BET Hip-Hop Awards in Atlanta that resulted in shots being fired.
There's no word on whether anyone was wounded from the shots, reportedly fired by a member of Ross' entourage. According to TMZ and ATL Night Spots, the altercation started when Jeezy and Ross exchanged words backstage. That led to pushing and shoving, and security personnel and the rappers' bodyguards eventually separated them.
The crowd backstage eventually made its way to the parking lot, where a member of Ross' crew reportedly pulled a gun and fired several shots. The gunman was arrested, and Atlanta police locked down the building for a time. The awards continued after things calmed down.

After years of conditioning at ghetto joints, a fight with shots fired and even death just delays the next record.
They's partyin' t'do !
Just another ho-hum moment in the ‘new’ belle of the South - KINGtown.
In my first term, I sang Al Green; in my second term, Im going with Young Jeezy. - President Obama
The rioters that took our embassies call these guys savages.
I had a couple clever little quips, and I rejected them because they would have made me sound like I just hopped over here from stormfront...so I’m just gonna go pray and have God examine my racist heart.
i believe the CMA’s will be nationally televised, im sure there will be lotza violence there too.......hmmmm, maybe not....wonder why??
Hey, dat’s rite, dat is. Dis hear be uh culcha, gnomesaine.
Fo’sizzle,my nizzle!
"THE RAPPER IS NEAR!!!"
Lol, bruttah.
Mobs drugs and guns what could go wrong.
I particularly like your use of “gnomesaine” in this context.
“...Im just gonna go pray and have God examine my racist heart.”
It’s not racism to be street-wise. And it’s not racism to observe how the civil rights movement of the 60s has morphed into this modern bizarro world, where the race card allows certain people to live totally outside of what we would consider polite society. Usually with government support.
All black people are not thugs. But unfortunately, the overwhelming majority of classless, urban thugs are black. And to notice this fact earns you the label “racist”.
Sheesh.
Ya gotta do what you gotta do to keep relevant and protect the business. Ya gotta make the other entourage scatter like scared little girls from your Glock to keep your cred. Prison tats just don’t stay fresh.
Hoping for video.
What a LAME Hip-Hop Awards show it would be without a little gunfire!
So it goes — “You can take the kid out of the ghetto, but you can’t take the ghetto out of the kid.”
Nothing racist about stating facts as they are, but you have to at least wonder about some who need to color up the language. Whether they are racist or trying to be funny is impossible to determine.
I hate most of what Obama has brought, but some of those threads obviously are tinged by racism by a select few.
The preezy of the united steezy said he likes the Young Jeezy?
