His love for jazz, etc. might have contributed to this. Or his jealousy of Samsung TV’s and Hyundai Equus - but I really think what pushed him over the edge in envy was “GANGNAM!”
To have a market economy you need to have the production of goods and services market wants to buy and a market that has the money to buy those goods and services. I see that as two major problems for North Korea.
He has a population that has utterly, completely forgotten how to do it. And anyone who did have that inclination has been killed off as an Enemy of the State. Epic Fail.
