In before the statists.
Good. This mawkish spectacle of recycled legends has nothing new or interesting or authentic or in any sense worthwhile to say about Jesus
It’s just bad ‘70s theater.
Jesus Christ Superstar was great. Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice at their best. What’s wrong with all these perpetually offended?
Jesus Christ Superstar IS offensive.
Jesus is not a rock star. He is not a superstar. He does not parade around on a stage singing to crappy rock music. He is not your buddy you go listen to tunes with.
He is God. he is Lord. He is Savior. And when He comes back in full glory and power all the people who looked at Him as some tune singing, redneck fantasy to be mocked and ridiculed as the butt of their small jokes, are going to be clawing the carpet.
For myself, i liked the album. It’s no more offensive that the old passion plays that the church used to support.
The movie, however, is an affront to anyone who appreciates acting, singing, photography or any other aspect of the art of film making. On the other hand, it wasn’t as bad as Tommy or Hair. Hollywood just doesn’t know how to do rock.
In my opinion, of course.
Russians concerned with “offending Christians”...while the US govt is basically committing genocide against them?
First “Womens Reproductive Organ Riot” is jailed for trashing Christianity....and now this....gosh Russian sure like Christians better than the US govt
I agree. Russian theatre shelves are DISGUSTING!
'Jesus Christ Superstar'
What of it? Fine musical.
