Any remedy to the communist infusion into the USA societal structure was not helped by the way/manner Eisenhower jumped all over Joe McCarthy.
I read that Eisenhower was promoted by Roosevelt, so had a loyalty to him and that he was angry with McCarthy for touching the Army which was his baby.
It was a three strikes and you’re out for the establishment because they were caught twice before and both times they promished to clean up the problem and here was McCarthy exposing the lies of both the Roosevelt and Truman administrations once again. Notice how all of the Democrats came to the aid of their party and the Republicans split along RINO/conservative lines. The RINOS can always be counted on to come to the aid of the establishment.
