The government said it would cover legal costs if contractors are forced to slash their payrolls because of the looming $109 billion in automatic cuts next year and are alleged to have violated the WARN Act. ....

Gee....I’m not a lawyer, but isn’t it blatently illegal for the Government to proactively offer to cover legal costs to encourage company to violate the law?

Not that anyone in the MSM cares about the law or facts now-a-days.....

Sounds like an offer to bribe a government contractor with government money in an attempt to influence the election. I would be interested in how many laws are broken by this.

Exactly Right. I believe it is covered in Federal Law

18 USC § 4 - MISPRISION OF FELONY—Whoever, having knowledge of the actual commission of a felony cognizable by a court of the United States, conceals and does not as soon as possible make known the same to some judge or other person in civil or military authority under the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.

Of course this would also cover the acts of the Administration felons in Fast and Furious. But who’s counting violations of Federal Statutes any more.
